Origin

The pear comes from a tree that is native to northern Asia. It is part of the Rosaceae family which includes the apple, almond and apricot. It grows in temperate regions but is much more fragile than the apple. Our delicious slices of organic pears come straight from Uzbekistan, where the pear is grown in the wild and is picked by hand at full maturity.
