Organic Raw European Almonds
General Description
The European almond is an oil seed, pale-fleshed, crisp and smooth oval covered nuts with a brown skin. European almonds are raw and a little less sweet than the California almond.
Origins
Native to Central Asia and introduced by the Arabs during their 8th century conquest of Spain, the European almond was widely used in Europe during the Middle Ages to prepare both soups and sweet desserts.
