General Description

The nori sheets are thin sheets composed of an edible, green Japonese algae. One of its principle uses is in the making of sushi.

Nutritional Benefits

Nori sheets are very rich in protein (25-35% of their dry weight), vitamins and minerals. They contain about 1.5 times more vitamin C than an orange. One gram of Nori can cover 30% of our body’s daily requirement of vitamin B12. The taurine in it may help prevent the development of cataracts and diabetes. It also contains antibacterial and antiviral substances which help balance our intestinal flora.

Uses

Place your favorite vegetables in a Nori sheet, sprinkle some walnut pieces in there and roll the sheet up tightly. Moisten the sheet with a little water to seal the roll. You can also crumble Nori sheets on your salads, pastas or soups!
